Accessibility

We want every lifter to be able to use Atlas, and we treat the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target across the website and the app. We are not perfect yet, and this page says plainly where we stand. If something on Atlas is in your way, email support@sigmatools.io and a human will work on it.

Atlas is designed and reviewed with accessibility in mind, including: text and interface colors chosen against WCAG contrast minimums on our dark theme; full support for the system reduced-motion setting, which disables the site's scroll and entrance animations; keyboard operability with visible focus styles on interactive controls; programmatic labels on form fields and icon-only buttons; alternative text on meaningful images; a skip-to-content link; and no restrictions on pinch-to-zoom or text scaling.

We track these openly and are working through them:

• The interactive 3D muscle map is a visual instrument and does not yet have a complete non-visual equivalent. Selecting a muscle by pointer opens a detail panel whose lifts, levels, and recovery data are real text, but the selection step itself is not yet keyboard operable. The same training data is available as plain text throughout your progress and history screens.
• Web subscription checkout is hosted by Stripe. We chose it partly for its accessibility work, but its pages are outside our direct control.
• Animated GIFs in posts and comments carry generic alternative text: they are announced as an animated GIF rather than described by their content, because the GIF picker does not capture a description at the point one is chosen. This applies to every GIF, not only older ones.

The Atlas website targets current versions of major browsers with common screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA). The iOS, Android, and watch apps inherit the accessibility features of their platforms, including system text sizing and reduced motion.

If you hit a barrier, tell us at support@sigmatools.io with the page or screen and what happened. Accessibility reports go to the top of the queue, and we will respond within a few business days. This statement is reviewed as the product changes.
