The details that matter

How it helps your training.

Compare more than the number on the bar.

A heavier set with fewer reps and a lighter set with more reps are different efforts. Estimated one-rep max, or e1RM, gives you another way to compare them over time. Atlas calculates an estimate from the weight and reps you log and plots your lifting history.

Look for the trend across real training.

Progress rarely moves in a straight line. Use your history to spot the bigger pattern through hard days, plateaus and new personal records. Filter your lifts by muscle and return to the same exercise to compare like with like. An estimate is a guide to your logged performance, not proof of what you can safely lift for one rep.

Let your own history inform the next step.

Premium Smart Coach looks for patterns in your training logs and offers suggestions, including load and rep targets. It works from recorded training, not camera-based form analysis or live observation. You remain in control of what you attempt and what you log.

Put it to work.

  1. Log your weight and reps consistently for the same exercise.
  2. Open Progress to review personal records and estimated 1RM history.
  3. Use the trend and your own readiness to decide what comes next.

What is included?

Basic progress tracking is free. Premium adds Smart Coach and longer-range progress views, including the year and all-time chart ranges.

A closer look.

How does Atlas estimate one-rep max?

Atlas uses the Epley formula from logged weight and reps, with the rep input capped at 12. It is an estimate, not a measured max or a recommendation to attempt that load.

Is Smart Coach a chatbot?

No. Smart Coach analyzes patterns in your logged training and produces suggestions through Atlas's coaching rules. It does not watch your technique or replace an in-person coach.
